PNG Forest Products Ltd (PNGFP) has developed into an industry leader and an invaluable player in the building of a better Papua New Guinea.
By identifying needs, maximising resources and opportunities the company has evolved from its beginnings in alluvial gold dredging in the 1930’s to a fully integrated timber and plywood processing establishment.
Over 70 years of progress has culminated in the formation of Klinkii plywood and PNGFP Building Systems and a seamless supply of materials and expertise from plantation to our end products.
We are extremely proud of our commitment to utilising renewable plantation pine, restocked from the PNG Forest Authority’s extensive nursery and annual replanting programs in Bulolo and Wau. The predominant species harvested are Hoop pine (araucaria cunninghamii) , Klinki pine(araucaria hunsteinii) and Caribean pine (Pinus Caribaea).
Based in Bulolo, PNGFP employs over 1250 workers and has the ability to produce plywood and sawn timber in impressive volume to suit client requirements.
PNG is our home. Remoteness, climate and other environmental issues have been and are constantly addressed and solved.
The many years of development of PNGFP has led to an integrated and efficient company that provides the right product for the job. We manage our business from the plantation to our proudly presented finished product.
