Bulolo - Our Town

A truly self-sufficient organisation, PNG Forest Products operates retail and wholesale outlets, a country club and a cattle farm, servicing Bulolo and the surrounding districts. With over 1,200 staff the company houses a large number of its employees and their families, providing all the necessary services including power, water, road maintenance, security, garbage collection and grass cutting. All electricity to Bulolo and Wau is supplied by PNGFP Hydro.

Bulolo Country Club

Opened in 1947 with a beautifully maintained course that hosts many PNG golfing events including a large Ambrose event every November, the Country Club has bar and restaurant facilities and provides accommodation with 20 fully serviced bungalows. Restaurant open 7 days a week.

Cattle Station

Established pre-war, PNGFP’s cattle farm covers 600 hectares. Employing nine staff, the farm carries over a thousand head of cattle and supplies meat to the supermarket, butchery and Country Club.

Bowling Club

With well maintained greens, Bulolo Bowling Club has an active membership and hosts major National events.

Sporting Fields

Sporting fields are used by the staff, their families and the larger community virtually every weekend. Soccer, volleyball and basketball are popular with Pikinini Soccer being introduced in mid 2019.
